BKS Chitwan launched new scholarship project at Shri Chaturmukhi H S School, Shaktikhor, Chitwan. A total of 8 new students studying in grade V and VI received stationeries and uniforms under the scheme. Among the receipients of the scholarship 6 students are girls whereas 2 of them are boys. Chairman of BKS Chitwan said that the students will receive the scholarshipuntil they pass the SLC examination. He also emphasised and encouraged the students to labour and study hard. Including Shaktikhor area now there are programmes running in 4 different schools.

Bal Kalyan Samaj – Chitwan conducted the annual meet 2011

Bharatpur; October 4, 2011; R P Sharma: The third annual meeting of Bal Kalyan Samaj-Chitwan concluded yesterday amid a formal gathering of all the life members and other distinguished guests at Nayakiran Tole, Bharatpur. In the meeting, the President of the organization, Mr. Badriraman Sharma reported the progress story of the organization. Similarly, the secretary of the organization presented the overall mission, vision and the completed programmes of the organization through power point presentation. The gathering made some of the important decisions to be carried out in future such as increasing the number of life members. The gathering also passed a strategy regarding the smooth functioning of the programmes of the organization. Besides these, seven new memorial scholarship awards of various amount ranging from NRs. 1000.00 to NRs. 5000.00 have been established to be administered from 2011 AD/2068 BS. The organizing committee thanked all the supporters, donors and sponsors for their continued support and cooperation and also expected the same support in the days to come.

SIX JANAJATIS RECEIVED EDUCATIONAL AID

A total of six Janajati students studying in grade VI at Naya Kiran Secondary School Bharatpur received the amount of scholarship amid a programme held at the school on 02 january 2011. The chairman of Bal kalyan Samaj Chitwan was present in the program. Last year only two students were selected to receive the scholarship whereas BKSC increased the number of scholarship receipients this year. Chairman of BKSC Mr. Badri Raman Sharma emphasised that the receipients of the scholarships will be entitled to received the scholarship until they pass SLC examination.

SECOND PHASE OF SCHOLARSHIPS DISTRIBUTED AT SHRI KAVILASH SECONDARY SCHOOL, CHITWAN

The second phase of scholarships disbursement has been completed at Shri Kavilas Secondary School on 15th November 2010. Additional five students have been referred by the school for the scholarships. The chairman of Bal Kalyan Samaj Chitwan handed over the amount and stationaries of the scheme to the head master of the school. The school teachers and the selected students were present in the ceremony. Now the number of the receipients of the scholarships at this school has been increased to 10. Currently they are studying in grade VI and VII. The Executive Director of BKSC said that BKSC is trying to increase the sphere of SUPPORT FOR EDUCATION PROGRAMME in the days to come.

NCEF SCHOLARSHIP DISBURSEMENT IN CHITWAN, NEPAL

Bharatpur, October 4, 2010, R.P Sharma:
The disbursement program of the NCEF Scholarship for the newly selected students from Chitwan district, Nepal was held on October 4, 2010. The disbursement program was held in the initiation of the Area Coordinator (Ram Prasad Sharma) at Shri Kavilas Secondary School, Kavilas VDC, Chitwan district, Nepal. Since the Area Coordinator is associated with Bal Kalyan Samaj-Chitwan, president and secretary of the same organization were also present in the program. Similarly a few teachers, Head Master (D B Chhetri), Assistant HM and the selected students were present in the program. Area Coordinator gave a short introduction about the education policy of NCEF USA to the attendants of the program. Besides this the President (Badri Raman Sharma) of Bal Kalyan Samaj-Chitwan spoke to encourage the students to do better in study.
The selected students received the following educational materials under NCEF Scholarship.
Uniform- Shirt/Pants/Skirt/Sweater
Slipper, Dictionary, Atlas, Copies, Pen, Inkpot and School bag
Mr. D B Chhetri expressed special thanks to NCEF USA for the selection of three students from Shri Kavilas Secondary School, Chitwan under NCEF Scholarship. The selected students also expressed thanks to NCEF USA. They assured the Area Coordinator that they will do notable progress in study. After the program was over the students were taken to the nearby tailor shop to get their uniform stitched.
